Improvements, new attractions highlight 2 day Spring Water Festival

Although it may not look like it now, Williamston’s Mineral Spring Park will be ready for the upcoming Spring Water Festival. The park currently has phase one of an improvement plan underway which includes wider sidewalks, a new retaining wall, better drainage and a new gazebo . . .

Basketball goals removed due to unacceptable behavior

Williamston Mayor Carthel Crout said this week that the decision to remove basketball goals from courts in Williamston’s Mineral Spring Park was made after repeated attempts to get young people using the courts to clean up their profanity . . .
