This Saturday, May 10, CSRA letter carriers
are asking postal customers to help Stamp Out Hunger! across America
as part of the nations largest single-day food drive. To
participate, simply leave a sturdy bag containing non-perishable
foods such as canned soup, canned vegetables, pasta, rice or cereal
next to your mailbox prior to the time of regular mail delivery on
Saturday. Food items should be in non-breakable containers, such as
boxes and cans. Local letter carriers will then collect the donations
and deliver them to community food banks, pantries and shelters.

The price for a one ounce First-Class stamp
will increase May 12 from 41 to 42 cents. The USPS will also increase
prices for other mailing service including standard mail, periodicals
(newspapers), package services and special services such as certified
mail. A new law allows prices for mailing services to be adjusted
each year in May.

The Anderson County Taxpayers Association
will host a debate between the candidates for 10th circuit solicitor.
Chrissy Adams and Sarah Drawdy will be debating issues pertaining to
solicitors race at the Anderson County Public Library at 7pm on
May 8. The debate is open to the public. There will be a reception
with the candidates following the debate, according to James
Rubinstein, Vice President of ACTA.

their forth annual golf tournament on May 10. at 1:30 p.m. at Saluda

applications for the Patriot Club. Anyone can join upon approval by
the board. Officers meet on the 2nd Saturday of each month. Post
meeting is the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Every member is welcome at
